2012 reflections

This year was the best year ever!

In Term 1 we had  cricket for the year 7’s. We came first in all of our games. That was really exciting coming 1st. All of the year sevens that made it received a certificate.

Term 2
We had orienteering that was fun it was also like exercising I really loved it.

Term 3
We had a DISCO I think that this was the best term ever it was so fun it started at 5:00pm and it ended at 8:30pm. I went home really bright that night.
This is also when we received our netbooks. It has helped me alot when I am working it has made learning easier for me. It has been exciting to work on them everyday. We also learn new things like how to bookmark internet pages and stuff like that.

Term 4
We had a film festival that was really awesome I saw some really awesome films. And I also saw some people that I knew there.
WOW our year has been really busy. I thought that this year was boring until I reflected on everything we had done.

Halloween Mystery

It was a cold, dark, rainy, misty night my friends just passed the most spookiest house on Epping Street. I was with my friends Crystal, Autymn, Mikayla, Timothy, Pakii, Melissa,  Claudia and Clearissa my two brothers Solomone and Siua and my little sister Limiteti. It was the 31st of October that means that it was Halloween so that means that we were out trick-or-treating. Then all of a sudden there was a “smash”, a window from the abandoned house shattered into a million pieces then everyone ran except for me because I wanted to know who threw the brick. They all started running and I stayed and let them run away from me. Then I hid behind the bush I wasn’t even scared all I wanted to know was who threw the brick. Then I saw someone move on the side of the house. I started to run after them and I caught up to them. It was Autymn. I said to her “Did you throw the brick?” then she answered “no, I am trying to find them too”. So Autymn and I ran off trying to figure out who threw the brick at the window. But until this day we still don’t know who threw the brick at the window. It still remains a mystery.

Speech Criteria

We have been learning to write and present our speeches. We had to persuade the audience to think our way. The Olympics was our theme.
The criteria we had to use to write and present our speech included, an introduction, delivery, content and our conclusion.

When I was reading my speech to the class I thought that I had a few powerful, specific words. I thought that my speech was all right but I just didn't keep still. Felila recorded me and I looked back at myself presenting my speech I could see that I  kept moving and I didn't make eye contact with the audience. But the thing that I did right is the volume of my voice.
Did you think that I kept still? I couldn't resist but to move. I had learned to put metaphors in my stories that I typed out. It was also was disappointing that Mrs. Barry was not there to see Chloe come second an Auariki came Fourth.
I thought that I should have made it through to the finals because I had facts to back up what I was saying. But I know I have learnt a lot and am sure I will get to the finals next year.

Sandwich Making

On 30Th of August 2012 the WHOLE school went to the hall and sat at a table. I sat at the same table as Tupou W, Tre H, Evelyn and Felila. Our sandwich ingredients were sponsored by the lovely Pak'nSave Glen Innes. Aren't they just wonderful?
When Mrs. Pat was giving out the buttered bread, I received two pieces of bread one on top of the other. But when I looked under the piece of bread on top I said to Evelyn, "Evelyn look at my bread. One piece is buttered and the other isn't.'' Then she laughed her head  off.
I want to say that we had a great day making sandwiches and that Pak'nSave has always been so kind. When we need to be sponsored Pak'n save is always there.
This big THANK YOU goes to Pak'nSave.
THANK YOU PAKnSAVE!

Here is a little poem that I have read somewhere

Five a day is what they say,
to keep the colds and flu's away
so fruits an vegetables you should eat
to keep you faster on your feet.

What do you think about that? I found it at the back of my homework book.
