Speech Criteria

We have been learning to write and present our speeches. We had to persuade the audience to think our way. The Olympics was our theme.
The criteria we had to use to write and present our speech included, an introduction, delivery, content and our conclusion.

When I was reading my speech to the class I thought that I had a few powerful, specific words. I thought that my speech was all right but I just didn't keep still. Felila recorded me and I looked back at myself presenting my speech I could see that I  kept moving and I didn't make eye contact with the audience. But the thing that I did right is the volume of my voice.
Did you think that I kept still? I couldn't resist but to move. I had learned to put metaphors in my stories that I typed out. It was also was disappointing that Mrs. Barry was not there to see Chloe come second an Auariki came Fourth.
I thought that I should have made it through to the finals because I had facts to back up what I was saying. But I know I have learnt a lot and am sure I will get to the finals next year.

Sandwich Making

On 30Th of August 2012 the WHOLE school went to the hall and sat at a table. I sat at the same table as Tupou W, Tre H, Evelyn and Felila. Our sandwich ingredients were sponsored by the lovely Pak'nSave Glen Innes. Aren't they just wonderful?
When Mrs. Pat was giving out the buttered bread, I received two pieces of bread one on top of the other. But when I looked under the piece of bread on top I said to Evelyn, "Evelyn look at my bread. One piece is buttered and the other isn't.'' Then she laughed her head  off.
I want to say that we had a great day making sandwiches and that Pak'nSave has always been so kind. When we need to be sponsored Pak'n save is always there.
This big THANK YOU goes to Pak'nSave.
THANK YOU PAKnSAVE!

Here is a little poem that I have read somewhere

Five a day is what they say,
to keep the colds and flu's away
so fruits an vegetables you should eat
to keep you faster on your feet.

What do you think about that? I found it at the back of my homework book.
